What is Embodiment?

If you’ve had a taste of our work or content, you’ve likely heard us mention the core modality we use — embodiment.

If your interest is peaked, let’s explore what embodiment is and how this practice can transform the way you experience life.

Embodiment is a modality that addresses healing on a nervous system level, meaning it allows us to move out of stress responses and into a state of regulation and internal peace.

Through using breath, sound and movement, it supports you in processing stored emotions and energy through the body.

For many of us, we’ve learned that our body is not a safe place to be through past experiences, so we live mainly in our heads — resulting in feeling disconnected from ourselves and our truth, not trusting our intuition and feeling depleted and drained of energy and inspiration.

When this happens, it often also results in finding yourself stuck in unhelpful patterns or thought loops that continue to repeat no matter how many times you try to make them stop.

Our nervous systems are calling out for our attention.

The fast pace of modern life leaves us as women running on fumes, in a constant state of stress, and exhausted by our to-do list and the demands of life.

One of the most powerful ways we’ve learned to soothe our nervous systems and become more present to the beauty of each day is through the practice of embodiment.

Embodiment helps us to feel safe in our bodies, which means you get to experience more peace, a more stable sense of self-worth, feel more energized and have a clearer state of mind.

We have the ability to soften, to trust, and to embody our feminine energy — which leads to more fulfilling intimate relationships and feeling more supported and connected with our partner.

Prioritizing nervous system regulation allows women to better navigate life's challenges, promotes resilience, and empowers them to lead balanced and fulfilling lives.

The practice of embodiment is woven into each of our offerings — whether you participate in a retreat, workshop (virtual or in-person), mentorship program or 1:1 coaching — you’ll begin to experience the impact of embodiment.

The actual practice of embodiment can look like an hour practice where we will guide you through a series of breath, visualizations, movements and experiences or it can simply look like turning your attention towards your body and asking how she is feeling.

Life is meant to be embodied.
