Make Space for Tiny Miracles

When you’re having a bad day, remember to make space to notice the tiny miracles.

Yesterday, I was having a “bad day.”

I was driving home in traffic, stewing in my stress, when I looked up and saw a perfect, giant rainbow... 🌈

How miraculous – when the rain stops, the sun comes out and all the colors of the rainbow are reflected and streaked across the sky.

I couldn’t help but laugh at myself for getting so caught up in the mundane that I almost missed out on the magic right in front of me.

Later that evening, I was in my backyard playing with my cat, taking a break from work – when I noticed another tiny miracle…

A tiny sliver of the moon was peeking out behind the tree tops as the sun was setting.

I stopped and smiled again.

In a world that can feel hard and sharp, it’s essential to learn how to remain soft.

In a society that’s pushing us forever in the direction of ‘do more’ – actively taking note of the tiny miracles that surround every moment is how we can take exquisite care of ourselves.

A gratitude practice I’ve been doing as part my bedtime routine is writing down a few moments of sweetness from each day.

Feel free to share yours to inspire others to notice their own ☕️ 📚 💃 🌳 🌊 🐶 🍵
